With Shortcuts app which has already preinstalled on your iOS device, you can change app icons in iOS 14.5 easily.
Since iOS 14 version, Apple has created a new craze of the iPhone interface by using widget feature. iPhone seems to have been transformed, no longer old and heavy as before.
In particular, with Shortcuts app – an iPhone’s built-in tool, users do not need to download any third-party applications to change the app icon. You can replace all app icons from Facebook, Youtube, TikTok, Mail, Settings…. or whatever with an amazing picture.
Here are the steps to do it with Shortcuts app:
Step 1: Open the Shortcuts app on iPhone.
Step 2: Tap on the plus sign in the top right of the screen.
Step 3: Tap on “Search for apps or actions” form
Step 4: Search for “open app” and then tap on “Open App” from the Actions menu.
Step 5: Tap on “Choose” and then select the application you want to change the icon, such as TikTok.
Step 6: Tap on “…” sign
Step 7: Tap on “Add to Home Screen”
Step 8: Type the app name and then select the icon next to the text field to change the image.
Step 9: Select “Choose Photo” and then select a photo from the gallery.
Step 10: Click “Add” to add a new icon to your iPhone home screen. It will appear in the first empty spot on the Home Screen.
Repeat the above steps for the apps you want to change the icon for. You can then group the original apps into another folder or another Home Screen and hide them from the home screen.
When you click on the customized icon, Shortcuts will take you to the application you assigned to it.
